*Cy-brid: Reconnecting the Informatics of Diaspora
with Anne Hamilton, Holly Schmidt, Derya Akay and Genevieve Cloutier

In a time where technology has become so intimitly entrenched in our lives, and shapes the way our relationship/communities/economies function, one needs to consider the question: "Who are we in relation to our technology and what agency do we have in relation to shaping it?" This conference seeks to create a discousre to disect and deconstruct and ultimetly Dragu* the
Vancouver landscape.
Dragu: verb To create conscious collective order in harmony with chaos. This phenomenon is usually witnessed in the form of using human bodies to insert xoxo's into the world.
Budget: $500 for each artist's artist's fees (plus travel expenses)
Accomodation - Billeting
Travel - carpool, craigslist, rideshare
Food and Bevarages at opening: Potluck and homebrew
